Welcome

What we do

EMPACT is an NHS service created by commissioners across the East Midlands to provide flexible, dedicated, specialist support. Since April 2010 we have worked alongside commissioners and providers who deliver health services to over 4.3 million people.

Achieving real improvements for patients while balancing a national 20 billion pound efficiency requirement makes effective commissioning both vital and challenging. EMPACT's services complement local commissioning to make a real difference, aiming to improve efficiency through avoiding duplication, and providing access to specialist skills and technology at a scale that is cost-effective for commissioning organisations.

Our services include providing NHS organisations with online business intelligence and benchmarking to improve performance, help in strengthening contracts to reflect best practice in care delivery, procurement support, using evidence based tools to assess and improve frontline care, communicating healthcare trends and sharing knowledge and skills.

Wherever you sit in the new system - as a clinical commissioning group, a PCT cluster commissioning team or a local authority health and wellbeing board - EMPACT can help you achieve your goals and meet the challenges ahead.

Why use EMPACT

EMPACT is an NHS organisation which has quickly established a track record for delivering effective services valued by local commissioners.
Our founding idea is "collaborative impact for improving health": We are able to use the benefits of scale and joint purchasing power to improve cost-effectiveness, and achieve results through partnership.

We have a strong team with a blend of public and private sector skills and technologies. With extensive practical front-line NHS commissioning experience, our focus is real achievable solutions to your most complex challenges.

Many companies offer advisory and consultancy services. Our aim is to provide experienced NHS know-how through implementation to ensure measurable change gets delivered.

EMPACT is a not-for-profit service with NHS values, here to make a difference for people who commission and provide services thereby ultimately improving outcomes and care for patients.
